Ellen DeGeneres is dancing off 'American Idol' after one season and Jennifer Lopez is said to be poised to step in as a judge on Fox's hit TV show. (July 29)

Yeah, that’s the reason… because they were such great friends in away from the cameras.

Jennifer Lopez revealed her monetary reasons for leaving the judges’ table on “American Idol” with ABC News, saying that without fellow judge Steven Tyler (who left a day before she did), it wouldn’t be the same.

“We had magic. I don’t know, with him gone, it might be a different formula.”

Both Lopez and Tyler both signed onto the show in 2010. Jennifer is currently about to go on tour with Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias, who was asked on his thoughts about being an “Idol” judge.

“I wouldn’t be a good judge. It’s a lot of pressure, just thinking about, ‘Oh my god, I just ruined this person’s career.’”

Jennifer did give an idea or two on who should replace her: rockers David Bowie or Mick Jagger (I can see the controversy now).

“You know me, I think big.”

Yeah… big money.
