
On July 19, the nominations for the 64th annual Prim Time Emmy Awards were released by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and “Scandal” star Kerry Washington were scheduled to join Academy CEO Bruce Rosenblum, but due to bad weather Washington was unable to make the engagement.
The Prime Time Emmy Awards will air on September 23 from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The Creative Arts Prime Time Emmy Awards will be presented one week earlier on September 15 and the Engineering Awards will not be awarded until October..
Thirteen programs earned at least eleven nominations each, many of them airing on networks outside the big four – ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX.
