And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob's daughter: and he was more honourable than all the house of his father.

-- Gen. 34:19 (KJV)

This verse is sort of scary when you look at it from a logical perspective. Shechem is referred to being more honorable than those in his household.

This guy just raped someone, but he was deemed as being more honorable than other people around him. Never compare yourself to anyone else because that would cause for you to justify your wrongdoings within your heart.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 7, 1, 8, 3, 4, 9. (7) To be complete, think before you choose to do something. (1) To follow God, do not become infatuated with women. (8) To have a new beginning in God, be what He deems as being honorable. (3) To stay in the Spirit, be what He deems as being honorable. (4) To stay in God's Word, be what He deems as being honorable. (9) To overturn evil, be what God deems as being honorable.
