A turtle farmer David Driver is in a state of shock because 1600 of his 2200 turtles have escaped from his farm.

This has been reported in canada.com of dated the 19th of July 2012.

He rears the turtles and sells them as pets to customers in the US and also to overseas destinations like China. Loss of these turtles is affecting his business.

It seems vandals have torn down the fences in his turtle farm and the slow-moving turtles escaped and into nearby ponds and creeks.

Officials of the Sherriff have intensified their search for the missing turtles.
