Over the weekend, the UN Security Council met to vote on a draft resolution created by the Arab League which is asking for Bashar al-Assad to step down due to the violent crackdown on anti-government rebels. In the meeting, China and Russia vetoed the resolutions in fear that the West would use it as a stepping stone to start regime change in Syria. Now the US has closed the US embassy in Damascus due to security concerns. Anastasia Churkina, RT correspondent, joins us to give us the latest on the UN Security Council vetoes.
