Russia, China defend Syria vetoes

With a total disregard to the demonstrations and the loss of the lives of 14,000 Syrians; Russia and China continue a veto on a United Nations resolution calling for each side in the conflict to cease fighting and for the brutal Syrian government to stand down.

This comes as no surprise to us in the west who have viewed at first hand the repressive actions taken by Russia and China in their own countries against organizations making peaceful representation for democratic government and human rights.

Vetos de-activate resolutions tabled at the United Nations which in turn negates the role of UN observers. Both Russia and China stand condemned by the rest of the world for their condemnable insouciance.
