Dubai, July 19, 2012: The ‘Whine to Win’ Facebook Competition by Homes r Us harnessed the excitement of the Homes r Us Fans as each of them posted witty updates for changing their old furniture.
Reaching out to a Facebook fan base of over 23,000, entrants were asked to upload a picture of an item of furniture at their home that they would like to replace describing it in 10 words or less.
“This was an exciting competition that helped us connect with our fans. Social Media is becoming a dominant force in the today’s time and for a company like Homes r Us it is a great way to showcase our unique offerings to a whole new audience”, said Mr. Srikanth Parthasarathy, Vice President, Homes r Us.
The entries were judged in three categories-highest number of votes, quality of the picture and post and just the post. Of the 230 entries submitted, 3 lucky fans had an opportunity to be chosen as the winners. The first prize winner, Arnel, had the highest number of votes for his post, followed by Vinka who was awarded her win on the quality of her picture and post and the third winner got lucky with her unique post. Additionally, there were five consolation prizes awarded to Sunil, Saiyan, Fizza, Rishana and Uma Mahe.
Homes r Us is available in Dubai at Arabian Center, Ibn Battuta Mall, Mazaya Centre and also at Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, Doha and Bahrain.
