There has been a lot of chit chatter about Honda's new 5-door hybrid that is apparently a Prius-killer. Up to now there has been very little information available. Honda finally announced and shared some picture of the Honda Insight Concept. It will be revealed at the Paris Auto Show in October.
The car is to have a low starting price-somewhere around $18,500. Plus a much higher people and hauling capacity than the original Insight. This will put the Insight as the lowest priced hybrid in the market. Honda was able to achieve this by cutting the cost of the IMA system.
The New Insight Concept is based on Honda's fuel cell vehicle, the FCX Clarity that has been seen in California. The design allows for a large interior while reducing fuel consumption considerably.
Oh yay!! I drive a Honda Fit, which I LOVE, but I can't wait for this one to come out! I had wanted to buy a Prius but couldn't afford it. Yippy!
