45-year old Brian Orton, a gas engineer, and wife 40-year old Catherine Orton had been married for only 10-days and were on honeymoon in Portugal and poor Brian lost his life while playing a game of hide-and-seek with his wife.

The couple hailed from Coudon near Bishop Auckland County Durham and was on honeymoon in Albufeira on the Algarve Coast.
It seems as they were walking on the narrow picturesque cliff, he clambered over the low wall of the Pau de Bandeira viewpoint in the popular resort of Albufeira but, he lost his balance and plummeted 60-feet down on to the beach below.
The incident happened on 27th of June 2012, 6-days after their marriage on 21st of June - the police have investigated and have ruled out any foul play, suicide or murder – it was just an accident.
