Rockwell Texas. Former University of Abilene Christian (ACU) offensive tackle Grant Feasel who played eight season in the National Football League (NFL) with the Baltimore Colts, Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks passed away Sunday morning. Feasel was 52 years of age.
Feasel was drafted in the sixth round by the Baltimore Colts in 1983.
Feasel was selected into the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Team of the Quarter Century in 1997. When Feasel graduated from ACU in 1983 he received almost every award available to an NCAA Division II offensive lineman.
His former football coach and current ACU director of athletics emeritus Wally Bullington remembers Feasel as the best offensive lineman he ever coached since Feasel worked very hard to build up his body by hitting the weights in the weight room.
Feasel was selected to the ACU Sports Hall Of Fame as a member of the Class of 1994-95 and LSC Team of the Decade in the 1980s.
Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
