
More details have come to light regarding Sylvester Stallone’s 36-year-old-son Sage Stallone’s death. The actor and filmmaker was found dead in his home in Los Angeles Friday by his housekeeper. This was confirmed by Sage’s attorney, George Braunstein. Braunstein told new sources that his friends an family were having a hard time reaching Sage and eventually his mother rang up Sage’s housekeeper and it was after this that the housekeeper found the body. Police officials investigating the death said there were no signs of a burglary or forced entry.
Later there were reports that officials found empty pill bottles near Sage’s body. However there was no suicide note according to TMZ. Officials revealed in a statement that the death did not appear to be a suicide. However specifically the cause of the death has not been established yet.
Braunstein said that Sage’s death had left everyone in shock and reports surfacing that it could have been a suicide were even more shocking as it was very unlike Sage to do something like this.
"He was very creative, energetic and very full of life," Braunstein told E! News. "We were just joking about how he was going to get married and have a fun marriage. There was nothing dark or depressing, no problems, and certainly no financial problems."
Sage Stallone is Sylvester Stallone’s oldest son from his first marriage to Sasha Czack. Sage appeared alongside Sylvester Stallone in Rocky V, playing his son.
He appeared with father Stallone in 1996’s Daylight and many other independent films later on. He was a filmmaker as well working behind the camera. He directed a short film Vic which was shown at the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films. In an interview given by his mother, Czack, she said about Sage, "[Sage] has said, 'I'm not sure if I'm ever going to be as famous as my dad. Is that all right?' "I tell him, 'As long as you give it your best, that's all that matters.”
Sources close to the family commenting upon the relationship between father and son said, "They had a good relationship. Sly always includes his kids in his life, he's a real father." Celebrities close to Sage and the family have taken to twitter sharing their condolences. Kevin Connolly tweeted saying, "Sage Stallone... Great memories... I'll always remember you and I running Philly in 1990. Rest in peace brother #RockyV
