Participants in reflection day on mechanisms of fight against corruption organized Friday 13, July 2012 in Kinshasa by Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) recommended to DRC Government to finance its institutions of fight against the corruption. Responsible of institutions of fight against corruption and activists of civil society believe that political leaders create institutions only for to like international community. Government doesn’t give means to these institutions for a good working.
They recommended the harmonisation of texts which govern the General Inspection of Finances. This public institution depends at the same time on Presidency of Republic and Finances Minister. Participants demanded that General Inspection of Finances depends only on one institution.
The updating of law text governing the Counts Court is recommended also. The law creating the counts Court is of 1987. The participants demand to government to adapt this law to the new context of the country. They also recommended the independence of these institutions.
They recommended the creation of a national coordination of institutions of fight against corruption with implication of civil society.
