(TRAVPR.COM) SCOTLAND - July 13th, 2012 - Madonna's world tour comes to Edinburgh this month with the gig being hosted at Murrayfield Rugby stadium for one day only on the 21st July. Edinburgh is one of only 3 cities in the UK to host the tour and it is the only Scottish date on the calendar. It also marks the first time that Madonna has ever performed in Scotland.
The tickets are still available through Ticketmaster and the price for a single ticket ranges from £50.75 - 137.50 for seating tickets and £66.00 - 82.50 for standing. The VIP tickets for the event are all sold out.
With her last tour “sticky and sweet” proving to be a critical success hope are high for a similarly successful and enjoyable tour for fans again.
The doors will open for the gig at 5pm with the show scheduled to start at 7pm. The MDNA tour is the 9th tour by Madonna and so far it has had a positive response from critics and from fans. The song setlist mainly promotes the singers 12th album but there are also popular favorites such as “Like a Virgin” and “Vogue”.
There has been some negativity surrounding the tour due to some inflated hotel prices which have coincided with the tour date. Many Edinburgh Hotels having increased their rates by as much as 75% due to the high demand for rooms from fans. This has led several leading politicians to question the “excessive prices”.
