Model and TV personalityis promoting a new book just launched, “Project Runway: The Show That Changed Fashion” through Barnes & Noble.
Appearing at the 5th Avenue Barnes & Noble in New York City earlier today, Friday the 13th, July 13, 2012, Klum, 39, looked toned and tanned in her deep blue and white spotted skirt and black and cobalt blue leopard tank top by Dolce & Gabbana, accessorizing with blue paid peeptoe pumps by, tonnes of bangles and large matching black and blue earrings reportedly by Lorraine Schwartz.
The affordably priced 296 page publication with a publish date of July 10, 2012 retails on the Barnes & Noble site as low as $12.49, though the giant version of the book which Heidi posed with is not the normal size of this coffee table book – its dimensions are said to be 8.66 inches wide by 10.26 inches in height – about the size of a regular size 8 X 11 page!
For those who are not familiar with Project Runway, the pioneering reality television series on the fashion industry featuring budding designers who get a chance to debut their work, premiered in 2004.
Project Runway is now entering its tenth season (premiere airing on July 19!) and this books comes just in time as an “official guide behind the scenes,” giving fans a taste of what it’s like to produce the television series which has become a fashion landmark.
Fully illustrated with hundreds of photographs, the publication provides an insight into how the concept of the show was started and developed over the years, along with input from workroom mentoras well as judges Heidi Klum, and Nina Garcia.
Fans are treated to highlights of the show’s past nine seasons and given an update of what designers featured on the show are doing today.
The cover of the book features Ms Klum front and center but she is undoubtedly incredibly delighted to have been part of the show’s history…
