Californian goats can ride the waves on a surf board

Animals are great learners and we have heard of performing dogs, parrots, monkeys and even large animals like elephants but goats surfing the waves must take the cake.

Yes, it is hard to believe but goats can be trained to ride the waves on the surf board. That is – if they are properly trained by the likes of Dana McGregor of California.

This has been reported in bbc.com of dated 13th of July 2012.

The venue was the San Onofre State Beach in Orange County and the pair of goats that have made such a feat possible are Goatee, the nanny goat and Pismo, her billy kid.

Dana first taught Goatee to balance on the surf board and used to take her out on his trips – later, when Pismo was born, he trained it as well.
