A cat is said to have nine lives and this has been proved by a 3-month old kitten which travelled across the Pacific Ocean from Shanghai to Los Angeles without any food or water.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 13th of July 2012.
The orange-and-white short-haired kitten had got trapped inside a container and when the container was opened at the destination in Compton area, it made its presence felt.
It has been named Ni Hao (NEE'-How), which means ‘hello’ and is being looked after by the Carson Animal Care Center and is presently quarantined.
Once it is checked up and declared as free from diseases, it would be put up for adoption.
