Moments of a vicious attack

In an eastern China safari park, 3 Siberian tigers were seen attacking, killing and feeding on a young cub. The horrific moments were captured on camera with images showing how the tigers that looked hungry; savaged the little one and feasted on it. Earlier on Wednesday, 3 Siberian tigers reportedly killed and eaten alive a 21-year-old man in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Apparently it looked as if the safari park staff had not fed the tigers properly, said visitors who took the shocking snapshots of Siberian beasts killing and feeding on a white, rare Bengal club. The incident occurred at the Rongcheng’s wildlife safari park in the Shandong province, eastern China.

'At first, all of us thought the animals were playing,’ said one of the appalled onlookers. However, he continued ‘When they got the helpless cub on the floor and started killing it; we realized it was not ‘playing.’ ‘It was a vicious and deadly attack.’ Another visitor said ‘Two of the starving beasts pulled the little one at its legs while the third one grabbed its neck into his jaw.’

‘Only then we realized that perhaps the Siberian tigers had found some ‘food’ to eat. The visitors insisted there was no meat to be seen anywhere around thus the big cats preyed on the cub as they were hungry. Zoo officials on the other hand, denied the visitors’ claims that the tigers were unfed.

According to a zoo spokesman, ‘Whatever happened there was a terrible tragedy.’ However, he continued ‘The young big cats would have been practicing their natural hunting skills, and that’s all.’
