A man entered the cages of the Copenhagen Zoo and was mauled to death by three of the tigers as reported in dated 1th of July.

The man has been identified as a 20-year old Afghan national who had been granted a Danish nationality only the previous month.

The zoo authorities are unable to understand what prompted the man to enter the cage of the ferocious animals so early in the morning and have requested any witness to come forward with whatever details they might be having.

There have been instances of zoo keepers or animal handlers being attacked by the animals in the zoo but this appears to be a different type of case altogether.
