Former UCLA basketball star Kenny Heitz passes away Monday at age 65

Los Angeles California. Kenny Heitz who was a member of the University Calfornia Los Angeles (UCLA) basketball teams that won three straight National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) basketball titles from 1967-69 passed away Monday in his home in the Pacific Palisades due to cancer. The school announced on Tuesday.

The UCLA mens basketball team had an overall record of 88 wins and 2 defeats during the 1967-69 span and was the first university in NCAA Division I history to win three straight basketball titles.

Heitz was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association in 1969. Heitz became a successful attorney in Los Angeles after his graduation from Harvard Law School.

Heitz is survived by his wife Linda, three daughters and two granddaughters. May his soul find peace at last.
