BREAKING NEWS! THE EDL WERE TERROR TARGETS IN LATEST ANTI TERROR ARRESTS http://englishdefenceleague.org/
A further three men from the West Midlands have been remanded in custody charged with terrorism offences following a series of arrests last week.
The men, two aged 22 and one 24, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London.
The charges follow arrests made last week by the West Midlands Counter-Terrorism Unit, assisted by the North East Counter-Terrorism Unit, West Midlands Police said.
It was alleged that a cache of weapons was found in the vehicle along with a note addressed to the “English Drunkards League”, an apparent reference to the far right English Defence League, which was planning a rally in South Yorkshire that day.
The three men, all from Birmingham, face an allegation that between May 1 and July 4 they took part in activities including the manufacture of an improvised explosive device, the acquisition of firearms and other weapons, and the purchase of motor vehicles connected with the charges.
All six men are due to appear at the Old Bailey on July 31.
