(Check It Out! Pictures!) MANILA, Philippines- Filipino comedian-actor Dolphy has died after battling with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) resulted to multiple organ failure on Tuesday night, July 10, at Makati Medical Center in Makati City, east of Manila.

The 83-year-old comedian passed away two weeks before his 84th birthday on July 25. His long-time partner Zsa Zsa Padilla confirmed his death which was witnessed by his whole family.

The considered ‘Comedy King’ was admitted last June 16, at Makati Medical Center after suffering breathing difficulties due to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and showing recovery after couple of weeks. But on Tuesday night around 8:34 p.m. at MMC, Dolphy passes away.

Here's statement released by Makati Medical Center as shared on Twitter by ABS-CBN News:

"We would like to inform the public that Mr. Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon, passed away today, at 8:34PM due to multiple organ failure, secondary to complications brought about by severe pneumonia chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and acute renal failure.

We join the entire Filipino Community in praying for the soul of Mr. Quizon and his dearly beloved family and friends.

To the Quizon Family, we extend our deepest condolences."
