Con Funk Shun will perform Saturday, Aug. 4, at 8 p.m. on the fair's main stage.
Musical acts are scheduled every day and evening during the fair's five-day run, with the price of tickets included with admission to the fair.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids up to age 12. Children 5 and under are free, as are members of the military and their dependents with active identification. Tickets for seniors 60 and over cost $4.
Fair hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., although exhibit halls close at 10 p.m.
“We’re very excited about the variety and quality of concerts we have scheduled for this year,” fair General Manager Mike Paluszak said.
“The evening concerts, followed by nightly fireworks will be a fantastic way to top off a full day of fair activities and entertainment.”
Discounted advance tickets can be purchased until July 31 on the fair website at www.scfair.com.
Seniors get in free on Aug. 1, and kids 12 and under will be admitted free on Aug. 2.
There still is time to sign up for many of the fair's popular competitions, including the Talent & Dance Competition and the Solano Stars! Vocal Competition.
Fairgoers also are urged to visit the fair's many exhibits honoring the county and its seven cities, and its newly expanded cultural pavilion that will feature displays from the county's Hispanic, Black and Filipino American chambers of commerce.
Of course, the fair also features the traditional livestock shows, flower exhibits, art displays and food.
