How Both Political Parties Exploit Black Politicians

For over a century, the Democratic and the Republican Party has exploited Black politicians for the purpose of securing votes on Election Day. I will show you two different examples, one Democrat and one Republican, from the US House of Representatives on how each party operates.

Democratic Example: Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN). Here is his most recent controversial quote.

"America will never tap into educational innovation and ingenuity without looking at the model that we have in our madrassas, in our schools, where innovation is encouraged, where the foundation is the Quran. And that model that we are pushing in some of our schools meets the multiple needs of students."

Rep. Carson, who is Muslim, claims that American children should be taught sharia law. This statement by Rep. Carson is a calculated Democratic strategy called race baiting. It's where an African-American makes a controversial statement which causes the GOP to react. The Republican backlash is then used by the Democrats to accuse the Republicans of being racist. In this case, it will cause for more Muslims to vote Democratic in the General Election.

It's sad that Rep. Carson is Muslim because Arabs have been exploiting Black people for over 1,200 years. The founder of Islam, Mohammed, enslaved Black boys and girls during his lifetime. He shouldn't allow the Democratic Party nor Arabs to exploit him like that.

Republican Example: Rep. Lt. Col. Allen West (R-FL). Rep. West has also made a few controversial quotes during his tenure. Here is his most recent quote.

"That is an unfortunate consequence of failing economic policies coming from the President so that now when people are running out of unemployment benefits, now they are looking toward going on Social Security disability ... so once again we are creating the sense of economic dependence, which to me is a form of modern, 21st century slavery."

Wait a second! He called SSI a form of slavery. When has any government in history gave money to slaves?

When a person points the finger at someone else, then there are four fingers pointing back. People on SSI receive money from the government for their disabilities. Rep. Lt. Col. West also receives money from the government since he is a Congressman and a retired military Lt. Colonel. If he is so pissed off at people receiving money from the government, then he should give his money back. Put your money where your mouth is! However, he proved how much of a wuss he really is by apologizing for the comment on 'Hannity' tonight.

This type of Republican strategy is called justifying racism. It's colloquially called "Uncle Tom" from the literary classic "Uncle's Tom Cabin" even though the colloquialism should be called "Simon Legree" since he was the actual villain in the book. The GOP uses Black Republican politicians to verbally attack Black Democratic politicians so that Republicans can justify the racist acts towards people of color in the past.

Justifying racism stirs up the conservative Republican base, which results in more people voting for the GOP in November.

As we edge closer to Election Day, race baiting and justifying racism will be used by Black politicians on both sides to persuade more people to vote for their respective sides.

Good report. But do you really believe West takes himself seriously? I think he says a lot of stuff just to get attention and stay in the news. Nobody could be that obtuse...all the time.

The other guy (the Muslim) probably believes what he's saying, but is just as misguided. Religion has no place in politics.

And, yes, there's an undercurrent of racism in both guys' approaches and statements. It's the mother's milk of American politics.

Rated up/shared. Thanks.

He really takes himself seriously. He is retired from the Army, so his PTSD has kicked in a long time ago.

I read it. Thank you. In the USA, more Americans always dislike the President, no matter who is in office.
