Usher’s Stepson Pronounced Brain Dead

This past weekend, Hollywood saw another tragedy as Usher’s stepson was critically injured in a jet ski incident in Atlanta on Friday. He has now been pronounced brain dead by doctors. Usher’s stepson, Kyle Glover, got into a tragic jet-ski incident while he and a gal pal were floating on inner tubes in Georgia’s Lake Lanier. A jet ski struck the two with Glover taking the hit in the head and immediately going unconscious.

Glover, son of Tameka Foster, who is Usher’s ex-wife, was immediately rushed to the hospital. Doctors have reported no brain activity since he was admitted to the hospital two days ago. Reports say that while Glover and his friend were floating on Lake Lanier in Atlanta they were hit by a man on a jet ski. Glover immediately lost all consciousness, while the unidentified girl, who is 15 years old, suffered a cut on the head and a broken arm. Her injuries were reported serious as well.

Alcohol or substance abuse was not a factor in the accident, as reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The man on the jet ski was part of the same group that was on an outing on the lake. Investigation is underway to dig deeper into what led to the accident. The investigation could take months to complete.

Usher and Foster were married for two years and divorced in 2009. They are both present at the hospital. Celebrities and well-wishers of the ex-couple took to Twitter to convey their sympathies and show their love.

"My deepest prayers go out to Tameka, Usher and both of their families right now," Diggy Simmons wrote.

"Everyone PLEASE pray for Usher and Tameka's son! This is the time they really need your prayers," Fantasia tweeted Saturday.

"Praying that Usher and Tameka's son is ok..." Russell Simmons added.

"Wishing @TamekaRaymond's son Godspeed recovery. Horrible news to hear," Roots drummer Questlove added, while television personality La Anthony wrote, "Praying for @TamekaRaymond and her family. Asking to give her and her family strength during this difficult time. Praying for u Kyle."

It has only been a month since Usher’s latest, #1 album, Looking 4 Myself, came out.
