KPL 2012- Mathare United

In what was earlier expected to be a thrilling encounter for Karuturi Sports head Coach Micheal Nam, it has now turned out to be a nasty ordeal as he bemoaned his strike-force's failures in the loss to Mathare United in yesterday’s match.

The Kenyan Premier League meeting between Karuturi and Mathare United apparently culminated in a 3-1 defeat all in favor of the visitors. The action went down at the Karuturi Sports ground in Naivasha, Saturday 23 June 2012. After the match, Nam was seen to be very angry and hard-pressed with what he said was wastefulness from his side. Based on his own analysis, he was quick to ascertain that the players themselves are the ones who wasted themselves going by the numerous chances that they had at their disposal. When asked for any comments he said, “I am very disappointed today with the way the players performed. They wasted many scoring opportunities and we ended up losing. They (Mathare) had fewer scoring opportunities than we did and they still managed to beat us because they utilized theirs and we missed out on the entire possible chances we could have slotted.” An angry Nam lamented.

If indeed the KPL standings are anything to go by at the moment, depictions are that Shar Karuturi currently stands at the 8th position with 22 points.
