Mossad killed Iranian scientist ?

In a dramatic but serious move, Iran has accused France and Germany of their involvement in assassination of its nuclear scientists. Iran’s Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi said that intelligence information suggests that France and Germany, besides Israel, the United States and Britain, are behind the attacks on his country's nuclear scientists. He, however, declined to share exact intelligence information with the media. Iran has been under immense pressure from the world powers to halt uranium enrichment and observers opine that it may be a tactic of Iran to divert the world’s attention from the controversial nuclear program of the country.

The United States and Israel suspect that Israel is secretly pursuing nuclear weapons under the garb of peaceful nuclear program. Both the states believe that if Iran succeeds in getting the atomic bomb, it will endanger security and stability of the region. Iran denies the charges and claims that the country’s nuclear program is for production of energy and medical research. In the recent three rounds of dialogue with the six world powers, Iran has refused to suspend nuclear enrichment.

The killings of Iranian nuclear scientists began in 2007 amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States. So far, around five nuclear scientists have been killed by miscreants allegedly funded and aided by Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.

Facts are totally against the public perception in Iran, as investigations into the killings of nuclear scientists revealed that Israeli intelligence agency was behind the killings instead of the US. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has also denied vehemently any involvement of the US in violence in Iran. It was also reported a few months back in a section of media that attacks on Iranian nuclear scientists were being carried out by an Iranian dissident group known as the People’s Mujahedin of Iran.

The militant group is also known as MEK, MKO and PMI. The US has enlisted the outfit as one of the terrorist organizations working across the globe. The same outfit is considered responsible for attacks on American servicemen and contractors in the 1970s, when an internal turmoil was at its peak in Iran. The same outfit is also considered responsible for supporting the infamous takeover of the US embassy in Tehran. Iranian officials have also arrested a number of terrorists of the outfit for their alleged involvement in different terrorist activities in the country.

Some US officials had confirmed on the condition of anonymity that the outfit was being aided, financed and armed by Mossad. These officials also told a news channel that the Obama administration was well aware of the ongoing assassination campaign against Iranian nuclear scientists but had nothing to do with it.
