Try To Remember - Harry Belafonte

I can’t believe they’ve come undone

Those hours of Joy those days of fun

Our path ahead had just begun

And there to guide us was the sun

-

A sweet perfume this world we knew

Whose scent would bless all things we’d do

Each breath a memory of you

Such was the spring which we danced through

-

There was no dream we left undone

No couldn’t be we wouldn’t do

And if I paused I’d look to you

And up above we had our sun

-

But far beyond what others knew

Laid shadows jealous of our fun

So unaware of what’s begun

So strange from all that we danced through

-

The evening of our setting sun

We kissed and knew it has begun

Her eyes still held those times so fun

I can’t believe they’ve come undone
