Uruguay go second in FIFA world rankings

With the Euro 2012 in the books and the completion of another successful tournament for Spain, FIFA has issued its updated world rankings. It should be no surprise that Spain, winner of Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and second consecutive winner of Euro 2012 has increased its lead in rankings.

Semi-finalists Germany and Portugal have also improved its rankings, with Germany moving into second place and Portugal into fifth place. Uruqay has moved into third place, while jolly old England has moved up two spots into fourth place.

Big winner in this latest ranking are Italy the Euro 2012 finalist which has moved six spots to sixth place and of course Portugal. The Netherlands an Brazil dropped four and six points respectively.
