Designers Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri presented the Valentino Haute-Couture Fall/Winter 2012/2013 collection for Paris Fashion Week at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild on July 4, 2012 in Paris, France.
The collection attracted the likes of Kim Kardashian, and Clemence Poesy, who sat in front row to take it all in…
With several red carpet-worthy creations in this collection, a fast favorite of yours truly is definitely a satiny blush pink long-sleeved dress with a pink, yellow and white floral print, which was teamed with matching pink pumps. Equally lovely is a cocoa pink chiffon gown with similar floral motif and a pleated skirt.
Another very eye-catching number is an above-the-knee sleeveless sheath with a floral purple, navy, burgundy and cream carpet type print – yes, it looks a lot like a nice carpet!
Full-length gowns in the Valentino collection have intriguing sheer sections that bare the legs and capes to give an Old-World look.
Valentino also offers a laser cut gown with the cutout portions going down the center of the long-sleeved midnight blue gown.
An asymmetric one-shoulder/one-sleeve tiered gown with a semi-sheer section across the bodice is quite alluring as well…
Then for a change of pace, Valentino Haute-Couture rolled out a brocade jumpsuit in black, gold, navy and green with tapered legs, long sleeves and a jewel neckline.
More brocade, in gold and silver upholstery type pattern, is featured in a three-piece pant suit with tapered legs again and a knee-length coat with a retro 1960’s vibe.
Attending the Valentino Haute-Couture fashion show were Tokyo Vogue Editor-at-Large Anna Dello Russo, Kathy Hilton and slideshow of the Valentino collection…, and Johannes Huebl. Enjoy the
