The men's quarter finals were played on Wednesday at Wimbledon with no real surprises. Last year's champtook care of business by beating in straight sets 6-4, 6-1, 6-4. He will face in the semi-finals. Federer easily beat Mikhail Youzhny 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 to earn his way into the semis. Jo Wilfried Tsonga also prevailed in a four set win over Phillipp Kohlschreiber 7-6, 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. The real surprise would have been if the players could have gotten through the matches with no rain delays. It was not to be. The rain started coming down during the fourth set of a fine match between and Andy Murray. Murray led 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 5-5 when the match was halted. When play resumed the fourth set went to a tiebreaker with Andy Murray punching his ticket to the semi-finals with a 7-6 (6-4 win in the tiebreaker). It's Djokovic vs. Federer and Tsonga vs. Murray in the semi-finals. Four of the top five seeds have made it to the semi-finals with being the only one eliminated. These should be fabulous matches. It sure would be nice if the weather would start cooperating.
