Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

-- Gen. 33:11 (KJV)

Jacob urged for Esau to take the blessing given even though both men did not lack any resources. The reason why Jacob gave was because God was gracious towards him and that Jacob was grateful that he could even give to his brother. Giving keeps the door open for God to continue pouring His grace over your life.
