Physicists have almost proven the 'God Particle' exists.
So far, all they found of this particle is its footprint and a shadow of and have one more thing to view a subatomic particle. This subatomical particle thought to give all matter in the universe size and shapes.
Scientists are announcing Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the world's biggest atomic smasher, they will save they almost proved a theory that could completely change the way it believes matter has mass, which mixes with gravity and because of this an object has weight.
The reason for the excitement is the Higgs Boson which is a subatomic particle long looked for by scientists.
Researchers from the European organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) said they never saw Higgins Boson but they have a shadow and footprint of the particle, even though they've never seen it.
There are two teams of Physicists, that are independent of each other because its costs them billions of dollars and decade after decade to look for it,
They are not going to use the word 'discovery' because that is too optimistic. Instead they will give a Eureka announcement but they are not going to go overboard on what they discovered.
Nobel prize winning physicist Leon Lederman made the term for the layman about this subatomic particle and called it the "god particle". Scientists have a scientific name for it but Lederman thought his term would work better and help more people remember it.
