Somalia to be rebuild- Museveni receives Somali delegation.

Djibouti bolsters AMISOM force

President Yoweri Museveni has held a meeting with a Somali delegation. The Somali delegation was led by Somali prime minister prof.Abdiweli Ali. The meeting took place at the president's home in Rwakitura, Kiruhura district. Museveni and Ali entered into issues concerning the ongoing rebuilding of Somalia as a sovereign state.

This meeting was attended by Somalia deputy finance, Ali Farah, uganda's envoy to Somalia, General Nathan Mugisha and Somali envoy to Uganda, Ahmed Sayyid.

It is important to note that Uganda forms a bulk of African Mission in Somalia known as AMISOM, a peace keeping mission. Uganda and Burundi have conbined a peace keeping force of over 10,000 in Somalia to keep peace.

Other African Union members in this peace keeping mission include Kenya and Djibouti. The peace keeping force is commanded by Lt.Gen.Gutti.

AMISOM is an active regional peace keeping mission run by African Union with an approval of the United Nations in Somalia.AMISOM is to support the structures of Somalia in transitional government, implement a security plan in Somalia, train a Somalia security force and creat a secure environment for humanitarian support in Somalia.
