One needs to acknowledge his or her fitness level. It is important to find out how healthy you really are, as it helps you stay healthy and live a balanced life. Given below are some tests that can help you gauge your true health. Try these and see where you fit.

Hunger and Sleep

The food you eat and the duration for which you sleep can help measure your fitness level. If you do not feel hungry at lunch or dinner, it means something is wrong with your body. Healthy people feel hungry and have the urge to satisfy their hunger. Eating is a good sign; however, over-eating should always be controlled.

It is important to sleep for six to seven hours a day. Uninterrupted sleep is a sign of good health. If you are not able to sleep properly, or have a strange sleeping pattern, you must take care of it.

Both, oversleeping and under sleeping, are signs of bad health. Sleeping is also directly related to the food you eat. To gauge your fitness level, measure your hunger and keep an eye on your sleeping pattern.

The Test

There is a very popular ‘six-minute-test’ that can help you measure your fitness level. The test is very simple and easy. Run for six minutes and see/note the distance you have covered. Do this regularly, and see the change. If you are in a good health, the distance you cover will gradually increase; however, if it fails to increase or decrease, it is considered a sign of bad health.

If you don’t want to run, you can try other tests. Dancing and cycling are other methods of gauging fitness level. Six minutes is the standard that experts have set. It is believed that a normal person should be able to go at it for at least six minutes, without losing the pace or stamina.

Others

There are several other tests that can help you see how healthy you really are. The white part of your eyes tells about your inner health. The whiter the eyes, the healthier the body. Glazed or bloodshot eyes are a sign of bad health.

Furthermore, the number of times you go to the bathroom, your breathing pattern, body-growth, hair-loss are all signs that your body gives you regarding your health. All these signs should be paid attention to.

In addition to this, you can also visit a doctor to get examined. By going under a full-body test, you can easily know the condition of your body and know how healthy you are.

Push-Ups Test

There are several other tests that you can do to find your fitness level. A very simple test is the “Push-ups Test”. Push-ups are considered one of the easiest exercises that one can use to determine the fitness level.

The number of push-ups you can do help gauge your health. Anything under 25 is considered to be bad. Above 25 to 40 is considered good health. And, if you can go above 40, it’s a sign that you are in excellent health.

Body Weight

One cannot overlook the costs to human wellbeing from obesity. To find out your fitness level, see the numbers on the weight machine. Your ideal weight depends on your height, body type and gender. Both, underweight and overweight people are considered unhealthy.
