Magnitude 7.2 earthquake hits northeast Japan March 8,2011

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.4 hit Eastern Japan on Tuesday. The said report was posted over Japan Meteorological Agency site.

The agency said no tsunami warning had been issued, and there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
