PRI's Enrique Pena Nieto declares victory in Mexico presidential election

A recent poll results have declared PRI the victorious party for the 2012 elections. The results showed a wide margin of PRI amid its competitors.

Manuel Lopez Obrador of the Democratic Revolution Party ( PRD - coalition Morena) stands second in the run leading Josefina Vazquez Mota of the National Action Party (PAN)

A jiffy survey of the election 2012 gave a picture in which Enrique Peña Nieto was leading with 37.93 and 38.50 percent of the votes. Following him is Vazquez Mota with 25.10 and 26.03percent of the votes. In the polls Quadri also got between 2.27 and 2.57 percent of the supports.

The president of the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE) Mr Leonardo Valdez praised the quick count as to clear the picture to the general public. This shows their motives towards transparency. Though the margin of error was about 0.5 percent but the methodology of using 7000 boxes is appreciable.

As thousand of PRi fans were celebrating at PRI HQ the leading Peña Nieto says that this is a second chance for their party and Mexicans have given them a great opportunity to serve the country better.

Peña Nieto after making a conciliatory speech showed his affirmation that he will do everything to modernize Mexico. He said" there will be no truce "against the drug cartels and called for" national reconciliation".

On the other hand Lopez Obrador is in opposition of Peña Nieto victory. He says that he will not consider Peña Nieto and will demonstrate against him. Doing so the atmosphere of Mexico might still be in peril as current president Felipe Calderon also faced the same from him.

Since previous ballot this election is remarked as the biggest in counting the number of votes given and voters participated. Thirty thousand observers were appointed to observe this election in which over six hundred were of foreign origin.

IFE however have confirmed over sixty percent of voter participation this year which means over forty nine million citizens. This is a PRI biggest victory after 12 years of opposition rule.

Although this early victory shows the clear edge of PRI over the other contenders yet the original picture after the full results will be even more interesting to see.

Literally it is a stinging defeat to the trailed Josefina Vazquez Mota of the ruling National Action Party. While others looked to have no chance even.
