Joe Torre endorses Roger Clemens as a potential Hall Of Famer

New York City New York Former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre believes former Major League Baseball pitcher Roger Clemens belongs into the Baseball Hall Of Fame despite Clemens being accused of using performance enchancing drugs.

Torre was in New York City to take part in the Old Timers Day at the new Yankee Stadium on Sunday. Torre said Clemens was like a son to him. Clemens pitched six seasons withn the New York Yankees helping the Yankees win two World Series titles.

Clemens was mentioned in the Mitchell Report linking him and other baseball players to using performance enchancing drugs in 2007. Clemens denied using performance enchancing drugs at a televised Congressional hearing in 2008.

Clemens was recently found not guilty of six counts of lying to Congress at the hearing in 2008.
