Don’t complain about Obamacare. First of all, as Michael Tomasky said, only 2-5% of Americans will pay the tax penalty. Remember, only those who don’t have health insurance have to pay the tax. If you already have health insurance through work, you don’t pay the penalty. The poor are already covered by insurance under Medicaid, so they don’t have to pay anyway. If you have insurance through work, some of your co-pay may go up a little. But, so what! Look at all the benefits you get and that the nation gets. A few dollars more that helps your fellow man too. Look at the bigger picture, my friend!

All the benefits won’t go into effect until 2014, but some benefits are already a reality. Study the benefits of Obamacare, and you won’t complain about your co-pay going up a few dollars.

Under Obamacare, you cannot be denied health insurance because you have a pre-existing condition. Insurance companies can’t drop you because of illness. Let’s say you get really sick and go to the hospital, insurance companies can’t say that they won’t cover you anymore after you get out. Also, insurance companies can’t put a limit on your coverage, so no matter how much your surgeries and hospital bills add up to you’re covered. Children can stay under their parent’s insurance until they’re 26. If you lose your job, you won't have to worry about temporarily paying an unaffordable COBRA price to keep your insurance for only so many months.

And, there are lots more benefits. Insurance companies still will be making a lot of money. Don’t cry for them. They’ll just be making a little less money, and they can’t take advantage of you and your condition for greater profit.

Obamacare is not government care. It’s not the government that treats you. Private doctors, insurance companies, and hospitals still provide your treatment and care but under new government regulations for your benefit.

People without insurance and who get sick and go to the hospital end up driving up the costs for everyone else. The insurance company passes on the costs of treating them to those of us who have health insurance. That's why Obamacare requires those who don't have health insurance to buy health insurance or pay a penalty. And, the government will help with the costs of buying health insurance for those who need the financial help!

Small businesses will get credits to help finance health insurance for their employees. And, by 2014 states will have exchanges where people can look for bargain health insurance among competing insurance companies without sacrificing the unique benefits that come with Obamacare. The Federal government will help with the costs for those who have difficulty affording even the bargain insurance.

The Supreme Court has ruled Obamacare is constitutional. Government tells you to do a lot of things, like wearing a seat belt. If you don't wear a seat belt when you drive you can pay a penalty. Stop and think. Be an adult.

Think, America! Think!

Does government have the right to determine how corporations make their profits? You bet it does! Find out why. Read my Internet article, SOCIETY'S RIGHTS VS. CAPITALISM'S RIGHTS: http://bgrnathan.blogspot.com/2010/04/society-rights-vs-corporations.html.
