Skooter reporting 06/30/12
The lawyer who allegedly fatally beat his girlfriend is ready to surrender, cops said yesterday as officials said he’d called police Tuesday night, and told them he hurled her against a wall during a fight and asked them to see if she was OK.
When police arrived at the Queens apartment supposed killer, 33, shared with Weight Watchers executive Denielle Thomas, police found her body in an ice-filled bathtub, according to reports.
The lawyer of the alleged killer called police to make the surrender arrangements. It was reported he may have fled to Florida, where he attended law school and met Thomas, 27, at a football game last fall.
The two had a long-distance relationship until March and though there was a ferocious fight over New Year’s, she moved into his Astoria apartment.
A pal of hers who did not want to be identified said that when Danielle visited him, he at one time threw her out in the cold. When a friend took her in, he was able to get her to come back and told him what the friend had said and then Bohn threatened the friend.
The two fought persistently for months until May 24, when Bohn beat her so brutally that the discoloration on Thomas’ face and back were still visible two weeks later, when she reported the assault to cops.
At Weight Watchers, Thomas’ colleagues where she was a senior financial analyst, were shocked by the murder.
The suspected killer has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Columbia and a law degree from the University of Florida.
