Threats of mass arrests tries to discontinue mercy mission-SBPM

Philippine Mercy Mission- The Power of Love

MANILA, Philippines- Despite death treats and mass arrests, the mercy mission continues its journey of peace.

As according to the Save Bondoc Peninsula Movement (SBPM), members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines as well as the Police tries to disrupt the mission; one of which is filing of trumped charges against Darwin Bonrostro, former Secretary General of human rights group Karapatan-Quezon as well as other 9 delegates in the town of Catanauan.

Also according to SBPM, the said attempt may also resort to further mass arrests, in order to discontinue the said mission in the town of Lopez.

Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of the Philippines are also compelled to conduct medical missions in Lopez to counter those from SBPM according to the statement.
