AFP identified the pumping of large sums to Spain, the fourth largest economy in the eurozone bloc, will aid shrunken fund for Ireland, Greece and Portugal, will also drain resources of this volume. It is known that Spain needs the money to rescue the domestic banking system, already in crisis due to bad debts arising from the massive real estate bubble burst in 2008. EU leaders are likely to review implementation of agreed policies and monetary economics at the summit held last week to address the debt crisis in the region.
