Taiwan military to sign the contract agreement worth U.S. $ 5.8 billion to strengthen the Air Force for this island. Under the agreement was announced earlier, the U.S. will upgrade the advanced F-16 A / B to Taiwan instead of providing 66 F-16 C / D as required by this island. Package upgrades include advanced AESA radar systems (also known as active radar network) allows fighters powerful signal but still maintain a state of "hide itself".
