Queenierich Rehman crowned as the Miss World Philippines 2012

The 24 year old athlete Queenierich Rehman was crowned as the 2012 Miss World Philippines during the coronation night in Manila Hotel Tent on June 24, 2012. The program was hosted by Edu Manzano and former Miss World second princess Ruffa Gutierrez.

The Moroccan-Filipina beauty and a basketball player from Assumption College bested 24 other candidates. She is most awarded contestant during the pre-pageant and in the culmination pageant. She vows the judges during the question and answer portion when she was asked “As an ambassador of the Philippines, what are the best features of your country that you can project to the world? She answered, “I believe that wherever you will go here in the Philippines, it's not the islands that make us special but of course the Filipinos who have warm hospitality, who are having smiles on their faces, and of course who will treat all foreigners the love and respect, and hospitality that they can give to them. I believe that the Philippines is a country that we can be proud of."

Rehman will represent the country for international competition in Inner Mongolia, China on August 18. For being the crowned Miss World Philippines she receives the P1 million cash prize and a Hyundai car. Other winners are Mary Ann Ross Misa; first princess, Vanessa Claudine Amman; second princess, April Love Jordan; third princess and Brenna Cassandra Gamboa; fourth princess.

The special awards are Best in Swimsuit is Queeneerich Rehman, who also received the special award for Miss Pantene. Miss Oracare,Miss Manila Hotel awards and Best in Long Gown is April Love Jordan. Vania Valiry Vispo as Smart People‘s Choice Award and Vanessa Amman is Miss Olay and Miss My Phone Award. The remaining ladies who placed in the Top 12 semifinals are Rufaida Babudin, Paulina Eliseeff, Kay Wigand, Carla Lizardo, Mariver Ocampo, Marie Loraine de Guzman and Vania Valiry Vispo.
