Muslim Brotherhood's Mohamed Morsi Wins Egypts Presidential Runoff; Celebration in Tahrir Square

Mohamed Morsi was elected president of Egypt with 51.7 percent ,That was announced by the Presidential Election Commission after days of delay, CNN reported

Morsi, head of the Brotherhood's political front, the Freedom and Justice Party had more than 13 million votes, defeating his rival in Presidential race the former general Ahmed Shafiq the last prime minister to serve under ousted president Hosni Mubarak, had more than 12 million.

In Tahrir Square, where hundreds of thousands of Morsi supporters rollicking celebration. Fireworks went up over the crowd, waving national flags and chanting "Morsi, Morsi, God is the greatest,"

According to Wikipedia, Mohamed Morsi was born 20 August 1951 in Sharquia,Egypt , he was graduated as Architect from Cairo University in 1975 and received a Master's Degree in Engineering from the same University in1978 while in 1982 received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Southern California .

Before being Muslim Brotherhood candiate in Presidential Elections he held the posts as Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party , a political party that was founded by the Muslim Brotherhood , also he spent time in jail under Mubarak
