
George Washington's personal copy of the US constitution sold at Christie's auction in New York on Friday, June 22, nearly $ 10 million, According to AFP.
The book with the first president's own annotations which was printed by order from Washington in 1789, its pages were notes made by the first President of the United States and also contains the first acts of Congress, which included legislation to establish state, judiciary, defence and treasury departments of the government.

Ann Bookout, the new owner of the book who is regent of the board of the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association, which maintains the historic Mount Vernon estate in Virginia that was Washington's home and is now open to the public
"This is our mission to bring home all things Washington," Bookout said. "We want people to know that Mount Vernon is the home of where these wonderful treasures should belong.",According to CNN
The non-profit group" Mount Vernon Ladies' Association" it didn't receive subsidies from the state and they collect money to buy the book from Americans patriotes and has said the book will become part of a new presidential librarywill open in Mount Vernon in early 2013.
According to Reuters , The book was sold from Washington's library at Mt. Vernon in 1876 after fifty years from the death of the first president to U.S.A in 1799. The second time the book was bought by a collector, Richard Dietrich. At Christie's auction in the 1960s. It was being sold by the family's estate.
