Was anyone even aware this was possibly happening?
Actordecided that a sequel to The Farrelly Brothers 1994 hit, “Dumb and Dumber” was probably best left alone as he withdrew plans to be a part of the movie, according to reports. The original film ended up banking nearly $280 million (really?) and according to Jim himself, “I would have thought Dumb and Dumber To was a no-brainer. After all, it’s implied in the title.”
No, that’s not a mistype. The name of the sequel was “Dumb and Dumber To”. It was set to begin filming in September. More info after the jump.
However, according to Jim’s rep, the actor grew “increasingly frustrated” by the lack of progress and enthusiasm from Warner Bros. and New Line; the latter being the distributor of the first movie. Interestingly enough, it seems as if everyone has forgotten that there was another movie in the series: the prequel, “Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd“, which featured different actors playing the characters at younger stages in their lives.
Maybe it’s best to leave the entire thing alone. We really don’t need to revisit this again.
