Kristin Harriger, a single mom from Abilene, Texas, was shocked after receiving her recent electricity bill which showed $1,381,783.92 as total due amount. She took it lightly at first and shared photo of the bill with her friends.

But after contacting the utility company, Potential Energy, she came to know that it was a computing error from their side. Instead of charging 9 cents per-kilowatt-hour rate she was charged $1000 per-kilowatt-hour. The utility company accepted their fault and assured Harriger that they would send her the corrected bill.
