U.S. House of Representatives committee on Wednesday, June 20, decided to make a general vote to blame the country's Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress According to the Associated Press
The committee's voted 23 members, against 17 after Congress accuses Holder that he had concealed from the U.S. Department of Justice documents on the operation of the "Fast and Furious",
Holder said, "does not help us fix the problems that led to this operation or previous ones and it does nothing to make any of our law enforcement agents safer."
Because President Obamaused his executive power to deny the House committee access to documents it had demanded in relation to the arms smuggling fiasco. in which U.S. agents knowingly sold weapons to the Mexican bandits to find ways to smuggle weapons across the U.S. border.
The Republican-controlled House oversight committee wants disclosure of the documents believing that they contain some incriminating information, and the administration of President Obama hides them because they can harm him ahead of presidential elections
"We and the American people need answers sooner, not later," said Issa, chairman of the committee.During the operation, has sold more than two thousand weapons.
In December 2010, sold out the weapons which had killed an American border guard.Fast and furious was the subject of investigation in Congress. In 2011 the U.S. Senate legislation prohibited conduct such operations.
