Fatehpur Sikri: Fatehpur Sikri is a historical city that was once the proud capital of the Mughal Kingdom in the 16th century. It was found by the emperor Akbar as his capital. Only after 15 years the emperor abandoned the city due to scarcity of drinking water. Constructed out of red sandstone, Fatehpur Sikri has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will find many historical monuments, palaces and ruins which are popular among tourists. Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai Palace, Birbal Mahal, Salim Chisti Dargah, etc are tourist attractions here.

Hampi Group of Monuments: Hampi is a village in Karnataka state. Located within the historical ruins Vijayanagara, it was once the last capita of the Vijayanagara Empire, one of the greatest Hindu empires in India’s history. It is known for temples and historical ruins collectively called the Group of Monuments of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Khajuraho Group of Monuments: Khajuraho is a town in Madhya Pradesh states famous for its ancient architecturally beautiful temples collectively called the Khajuraho Group of Monuments that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Temples are renowned for stunning carvings and finely chiseled erotic sculptures.

Ajanta & Ellora Caves: Ajanta & Ellora Caves in Maharashtra state are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. They are very popular among tourists because of ancient cave temples depicting India’s rich cultural heritage. While Ajanta caves are renowned for paintings & sculptures, Ellora caves are renowned for their amazing architecture.
