Lake Charles Louisiana. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Lake Charles resident Fred B Vidrine Jr. was arrested and charged with producing marijuana, possesion of Xanax and Soma, possession of drug paraphernaila and illegal use of dangerous substances in the presence of a minor on Monday June 18.
Meyrs said in a news release that deputies responded to a complaint from a concerned citizen that a person was growing marijuana garden in the window of his residence.
When the police arrived at Vidrine's home located at 307 Jarib Drive they saw the marijuana plant along with drugs that wer not prescribed to Vidrine and a five year old boy who was taken away by the police to his family.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies Junior Captain John Coffman and deputy Chris Daigle were the officers assigned to this case.
Judge Wilford Carter set Vidrine's bond at $10,000.
